We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician with both Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex aircraft inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while ensuring compliance with all FAA regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform annual inspections, progressive inspections, and major repairs on aircraft
- Approve aircraft for return to service following major repairs or alterations
- Conduct detailed airworthiness inspections and sign off on aircraft maintenance
- Inspect aircraft components, systems, and structures for wear, damage, or defects
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using technical documentation
- Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Interpret and apply technical manuals, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives
- Supervise and mentor junior A&P mechanics
- Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company policies
Qualifications:
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
- Active FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an A&P mechanic
- In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations
- Experience with both piston and turbine aircraft preferred
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance manuals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
