Islander Aviation installs and supports Electronics International engine monitors and instruments — the CGR-30P and CGR-30C, MVP-50P and the full range of EI gauges — including the primary-replacement STC installations that remove legacy engine instruments.
What we do for Electronics International owners
- CGR-30P / CGR-30C primary engine monitor installations
- MVP-50P glass engine and systems monitor installations
- Individual EI gauges: fuel flow, fuel level, volts/amps, OAT, carb temperature
- Probe, sender and harness troubleshooting and replacement
Aircraft and systems covered
- Piston singles and twins eligible under EI's STCs
Frequently asked questions
- Can an EI monitor replace my original engine gauges?
- Often yes. EI's primary-replacement STCs allow the CGR-30P or MVP-50P to replace factory primary instruments on many aircraft. We check your model's eligibility before quoting.
Part 145 and Part 91 — who signs the work
Islander Aviation (BMV Air Center LLC) is an FAA Part 145 repair station, certificate 6KFR481C, with limited airframe, engine, instrument and radio ratings. Our FAA-accepted Capability List (Rev. 8, 29 September 2026) covers airframe inspections, repairs and alterations on Beechcraft, Piper, Cessna, Cirrus, Diamond Aircraft, Epic Aircraft aircraft; inspections and minor repair of Lycoming, Continental, Austro Engine, Pratt & Whitney Canada engines; and pitot-static, transponder, ADS-B and ELT certifications on the listed makes. Overhauls are not performed under the certificate.
Anything not covered under our Part 145 capability list — King Air, Citation and Pilatus airframes, for example — is still performed by Islander Aviation, as Part 91 maintenance signed off by our FAA-certificated A&P and IA mechanics. Engine overhauls are coordinated with a specialist engine shop.
