Diamond Aircraft — Diamond experts
Islander Aviation · Pompano Beach Airpark (KPMP)
Diamond owners in South Florida bring their aircraft to Islander Aviation for a reason: every Diamond model from the DA20 to the DA62 is on our FAA Part 145 capability list, and so are the engines they fly with — Austro Engine AE300/AE330, Continental CD-100 series diesels and the Lycoming IO-360-M1A. Airframe and engine work on a Diamond is repair-station work here.

Frequently asked questions
- Is Islander an authorized Diamond service center?
- We describe ourselves as Diamond experts rather than a factory-authorized center: Diamond DA20, DA40, DA42, DA50 and DA62 airframes and their Austro, Continental diesel and Lycoming engines are all on our FAA Part 145 capability list, our technicians work on them every week, and we hold the Continental Diesel OEM authorization. If we obtain a Diamond factory authorization we will say so here.
- Do you look after the Austro engine as well as the airframe?
- Yes. Austro Engine AE300 inspections, life-limited parts and FADEC troubleshooting are part of our DA40 NG, DA42 and DA62 work.
- Where are you, and can you handle an aircraft flying in from out of state?
- Pompano Beach Airpark (KPMP), ten minutes from Fort Lauderdale. Yes — tell us your dates and we will schedule hangar space and the work together.
Part 145 and Part 91 — who signs the work
Islander Aviation (BMV Air Center LLC) is an FAA Part 145 repair station, certificate 6KFR481C, with limited airframe, engine, instrument and radio ratings. Our FAA-accepted Capability List (Rev. 8, 29 September 2026) covers airframe inspections, repairs and alterations on Beechcraft, Piper, Cessna, Cirrus, Diamond Aircraft, Epic Aircraft aircraft; inspections and minor repair of Lycoming, Continental, Austro Engine, Pratt & Whitney Canada engines; and pitot-static, transponder, ADS-B and ELT certifications on the listed makes. Overhauls are not performed under the certificate.
Anything not covered under our Part 145 capability list — King Air, Citation and Pilatus airframes, for example — is still performed by Islander Aviation, as Part 91 maintenance signed off by our FAA-certificated A&P and IA mechanics. Engine overhauls are coordinated with a specialist engine shop.
